Rob Gascho was elected at AMPA 2015 to the Provincial Executive as an Executive Officer. His current term will run until 2017.
Rob attended Rockway Mennonite Collegiate in Kitchener and the University of Waterloo, where he completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History in 1987, and then obtained his degree in Education at the University of Windsor a few years later. He has worked as an occasional teacher and as the Education Coordinator for the AIDS Committee of Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo and Area for seven years, before becoming a contract teacher with the Waterloo Region District School Board in 1999.
Rob was the District 24 Teacher / Occasional Teacher Bargaining Unit President for four years, and served as District President for three years. He has also served as the District and Bargaining Unit Treasurer, a member of his local Collective Bargaining Committee, Provincial Councilor and has been the chair of the provincial Teacher / Occasional Teacher Sector Council.
