Conference to be held in Toronto on May 15, 2017
March 2, 2017 — OSSTF/FEESO has been provided with additional funding to support a professional development conference to specifically enhance Technology in Education. This funding is being specifically offered to support OSSTF/FEESO members working in district school boards.
The Educational Services Department of OSSTF/FEESO is planning a conference in Toronto on May 15, 2017. We are inviting submissions from OSSTF/FEESO members who are willing to share their knowledge and experiences with the use of technology. OSSTF/FEESO members are encouraged to submit possible workshop topics that will highlight how technology is currently enhancing education in Ontario schools.
Submissions are welcome from OSSTF/FEESO members employed by a district school board in any job class that involves the use of technology.
All approved workshop presenters will be invited to attend the entire conference with expenses related to time release, transportation, accommodation, and meals covered as per the 2016-2017 Federation Allowable Expenditure Guidelines.
Interested OSSTF/FEESO members are encouraged to submit their name and current role in education along with the title of the workshop; a brief description for a 90-minute presentation should also be included. Submissions must be received no later than March 31, 2017. Those selected to participate at the conference will be notified the week of April 3, 2017.
Submissions should be sent by email firstname.lastname@example.org, fax (416-751-7079), or mail to the attention of Suzette Clark at the provincial office.
