Joel Duff

Prior to joining the OSSTF/FEESO Provincial Office team as an Associate General Secretary, Joel had over 20 years of experience working as a campaign organizer, communicator, and senior manager in the labour movement and the education sector. He has held many positions in the labour movement, including Communications Director for the Ontario Federation of Labour, Political Assistant to the President of the Canadian Labour Congress, and Associate Executive Director of the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations.

Joel has extensive experience providing strategic political advice for union executives and leading political action, communications, and education for labour unions. He has also directed union policy and research, international affairs, health & safety, and environmental action. Over his career, Joel has demonstrated a commitment to equity and social justice, capacity building, and winning campaigns for legislative victories that benefit working people and protect public services.

Joel was appointed Associate General Secretary, Professional Services in August 2023.
