December 1, 2013 — Under the “For Teachers” tab, you will find a wide variety of classroom activities covering topics throughout the 6-12 curriculum.

The activities are searchable by type and grade level, from quick activities to assist in introducing a topic, to more involved activities including webquests, essays, performances and debates. Each activity includes a the appropriate grade level(s) and subject area(s), expected duration, purpose, and summary.

The activities guide students through a number of CBC archive clips that are relevant to the given topic, and some include a downloadable pdf assessment rubric that can be used or modified for assessment of students' understanding of the topic. The activities engage students through the use of media, as well as class discussions to determine criteria before asking them to research for a purpose individually or in small groups.
