Canadian War Museum

November 1, 2012 — The Canadian War Museum website is connected to the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. 

This website is an excellent resource for anyone exploring Canada’s war history.  By clicking on the “Education” link, one has access to online educational resources including a Remembrance Day toolkit and a chronology of Canadian Military History.  There are games and activities such as “Over the Top—A WWI free online adventure game and programs such as the School Programs page offering information on a wide range of activities.

There are resources on such topics as ‘Canada’s Naval History’, ‘Democracy at War’, and ‘Canada and World War I’.

The website also has a full-text searchable collection of 144,000 newspaper clippings dealing with WWII.  The online resources are available for use by teachers and students alike.
